Welcome to Your Community!

Connecting Catholic musicians

for the glory of God.

Look, we get it. Being a Catholic musician is a unique and rewarding journey, but it comes with it’s own set of challenges!

Whether it’s managing a busy schedule, navigating moral conflicts with grace and compassion, or explaining your musical vocation to others, we’re right there with you. And that’s why we created The Hildegard Collective!

Welcome to a community full of professional development and spiritual formation unique to YOUR life as a Catholic musician. From opportunities for prayer, job postings, live events (online and in person), and so much more, we have custom-built every facet of your Hildegard Collective experience to foster Connection, Formation, Innovation & Collaboration within our community.

Our dream is to empower musicians to become the people that God has called them to be, and, through that fulfillment, to become the best musicians they can be!

For the musician who desires to be in the world,

not of the world.

We want to see well-formed, Catholic musicians at the forefront of EVERY musical field. All musical backgrounds and genres are welcome in our community! Whether you are a music educator, performer, composer, music therapist, music producer, musicologist, or pursing any other career working with or through music, there is a place for you here!

We have backgrounds in opera, orchestral and chamber music, choral music, film scoring, music history, composition, musical theater, contemporary music, ethnomusicology, music production, liturgical music, pop, country music, and more!

We invite you to come and see what we're up to!

“Those who perceive in themselves this kind of divine spark which is the artistic vocation [...] feel at the same time the obligation not to waste this talent but to develop it, in order to put it at the service of their neighbor and of humanity as a whole [...] Artists who are conscious of all this know too that they must labor without allowing themselves to be driven by the search for empty glory or the craving for cheap popularity. [...] There is therefore an ethic, even a “spirituality” of artistic service, which contributes in its way to the life and renewal of a people.”

-Pope St. John Paul II, Letter to Artists
